This exhibition takes you through the great shipping routes and adventures of Columbus, Da Gama, Magellan, and others. The interactive exhibition explores the technologies that enabled them to cross the ocean and relives the era when the world map was radically changed by the Europeans.


What reasons drove European explorers to the sea, despite the danger? Explore these historical events and make surprising discoveries!


Which instruments worked its magic on the high seas? Come and see the wonderful inventions of the cross-staff, the astrolabe, and other navigational tools!
